That's the stuff. I had the owner of a small Ducati & CZ dealership in San
Jose recommend it for taking scratches out of riding goggles back in the
late 60s. I've owned a tube ever since. Some of it went to polishing
aluminum engine parts early on but for the last 25 years it been used to
restore plastic headlight lens. Works great.

Correction: Product is SIMICHROME. Web site doesn't mention glass, only
metal, but I'm checking with mfr.

I tried the 3M headlight restoration kit, and it didn't help much at all. I
got it on sale around $12 so it was worth a try.

I'll look for Semi-chrome.

Mine has spent its life covered and under a bimini when in use, however I
polish the headlights on my 14 year old truck every year. I use a product
called Semi-chrome polish which came with me from my motorcycle days. I've
also seen other automotive headlight restoration/polishing kits at my local
Napa Auto Parts and that may be a good place to start.

Remember to tape off the black textured painted surfaces or you'll be
looking a white polish stuck in the texture for years. Phil
