That image is of another Cat 27, not mine.  It looked it worked pretty well.
I would imagine it might hinder vision some but no worse than a 150 when
close hauled and heeled over a bit.

While looking over Joe McCary's photos of Aeolus II (

that he's used an idea I've been wondering about -- tying a kayak to the
deck, for use as a dinghy.  (Thanks, Joe!).  I'm interested to know how it
works-out!  Joe (and others!) -- Do you use it frequently?  How to you
manage jibes (it looks like you're using a 170 Genoa, as mine)?  What about
boarding & disembarcing from the kayak?  (I'm OK working from shore, but how
do you get into it, and get out of it, from the stern ladder?!!)
