Hi Everyone, My old 2stroke died this weekend and got a new 4stoke (90 pounds weighed by me). My C27 has the original well cutout, and even though the motor "fits", I cannot tilt it up, and no way I can trim the hole to make it tilt (no space at all).
So I am installing a bracket, on the port side of the stern, right next to the well. Now my question is, the stern in that area is hallow, any recommendation on how to reinforce the area (should I even do this?)I will be using backing plates for the bracket, but wanted to know what others have done.
