Marcus,

Getting a long term vacuum seal on any device like this greatly depends on
the quality of the finish of the surface it's sucking on. If your boat has
pristine gel coat then maybe but even then I'd be skeptical.

When they showed it holding an EPRIB they lost a healthy dose of credibility
with me. Who would even consider that? You last best chance of an offshore
rescue falls overboard as a result of a suction cup letting go. Or you have
a great 3 day sail and wind up in handcuffs because your auto EPRIB deployed
two days ago causing a massive rescue effort. The USCG doesn't take kindly
to a false mayday report.

Ahoy all,

Any of you out there used any products by Sea Sucker with success?
http://seasucker.com/ is their web site for all interested. They make
high pressure suction cup mounts for marine and fishing applications.
Very impressive product from the images and videos. I have my eye on
the suction cup transducer mount. I'm not looking to drill holes in my
C27, but would love to start using a fish finder when they are biting.
Now I can mount the transducer only when I need it and the hull
remains intact.

What do all of you think about this? Any experiences?

Marcus
