Maybe it was reported because it is odd. It is out of the ordinary if he is
anywhere near that tall. I don't see it as a "breed claim".

Since Jasmin wrote it as an answer to my post complaining about the
ever-increasing claims we hear for the breed, from speed, to weight
carrying, yes, in that context, I DO think it was another example of "breed
inflation." I'm not saying there's not one, or two..or maybe even a dozen
or two that are 14.2H+, and a few more in the 14-14.2H range...but when so
many people claim their horses are that height? Specifically, I've seen a
few who were "officially" measured at well over 14H, and I've seen horses
come through here on the hauler's trailer, who I know were sold to be 14.2H
and none of these was taller than Trausti, who's maybe 13.3H. So, when
someone mentions the 16H horse, well, now, doesn't that serve to make 14.2H
seem normal - heck, even small? And even 15H sound plausibly
commonplace...? If the claims were just about the height, that wouldn't be
so bad - sensible people can see that these are ponies - well, it's not such
a big problem to me unless people really are breeding for extreme heights.
And we've seen what has happened to Haflingers, RMH and a few other
breeds...
