I don't think they have an evaluation process like
they have for breeding in Icelandics. I think the
registration process is really like a "certification"
to be able to breed. I can register my filly
temporarily by showing that her parents are both
certified, but I cannot permanently register her
unless she is certified, and that requires a video or
examiners coming out and watching her. They must
demonstrate gait to be certified. I am still trying to
figure out what will happen because I'm not riding her
until she is older. I guess it will be ok, but they
cannot breed until they are certified.

I think it's a big part, reading the video
requirements, it seems like it focuses on gait. They
want to see close ups of the shoes because only keg
shoes or no shoes are allowed. You do have to show the
horse standing from all sides, a good view of the back
legs. They do have guidelines for conformation, noting
that problems such as extreme sickle hocks or cow
hocks are not desirable, among other things. They do
have a list of desire able conformation traits.
Really, the whole video thing is kind of intimidating
because I have never done it. I'm sure there will be
someone around to help when I am finally ready, maybe
it would be easier to have examiners come out.

I don't have any idea about any of them.
