>>> Did Gudmar sound a little uncomfortable to anyone else when Rick Lamb
asked him what would happen to a nasty stallion, would he be gelded? :)
Maybe eat him.

Yes, he certainly did. I was actually grimacing, wondering if he'd say
something about eating them. But, yes, he obviously hesitated.

>>> Can people do the training themselves? He said basic training yes, like
stop, go, but keeping the gaits separate, you need someone who knows what
they are doing with Icelandics$$$$$

Yep, and that's pretty self-serving for a "breed spokesman" - who also
happens to be a trainer...farrier...importer...breeder...clinician...travel
agent...

>>> Oh and the natural horsemanship thing. Trying to sound like he uses
natural horsemanship. You know, maybe these Icelandic trainers in the US
should go to see what natural horsemanship is about, he didn't really
convince me, at all.

Oh yes, add Natural Horseman to my earlier list.

Now THAT'S why Gudmar's age becomes relevant. Remember Equine Affair 2006?
He also did a presentation on "dressage". Now, he simply hasn't lived long
enough to be expert in all these areas. It takes YEARS to become experts in
ANY of these areas.

Did you notice that Rick Lamb made a couple of comments about Gudmar being
pretty young?
