Hi All:

Kaaren Jordan here....I thought since I am a Sensation Dealer & have had a
TCM practice for humans /animals for over 23 years, I would like to comment
on the Hybrid Sensation for higher whithered horses. Yes, the Hybrid does
have a bit more "wiggle room" for moderately high whithered horses, but
there must be a rounded /table type back just behind the whithers to support
the saddle properly. Very high whithered horses may not be comfortable in
the Hybrid depending on shape, rise, length of whither as well as rider
weight , skill, length of ride times, type of riding done. Padding does
help in some cases, but the pad itself needs to have a similar contour in
rise to the front as the horses whithers otherwise it will pull down no
matter how much you pull it up to start & put pressure where it is not
contoured enough. I would be happy to look at topline pics of any horses
in question if you could direct them to my Kaarenjordan.com web-site.
Detailed description of what I need in terms of rider info. (very
important) & pics are under Demo Instructions Para. 1. My business hours
are 11am-7pm , 7 days a week Calif. Time.

Also when I was talking to Karen Thomas the other day, she mentioned that
several of you were interested in tapestry like fabrics. for pad tops.
After speaking with Tom Clark @ Skito about this, he told me that you could
place orders with me if you found a fabric you liked that fits the criteria
he needs to make it. SInce I have been doing business with Tom for over 10
years & am involved with R & D for him, I feel confident I can answer most
of your questions. Tom has trained dealers so he can devote his time to R
& D & providing personalized support to those horse /rider combos. that are
unique fit situations that the dealers do not feel comfortable handling.
Colleen @ Skito is happy to take any standard orders you may have as well as
any of the other authorized Skito Dealers.(see Skito website).

Here are some basic guidelines for those who want to pursue their own fabric
tops:

1) Must be washable .Please wash & dry (pre-shrink) before sending fabric.
2)100% cotton or cotton/poly blend.
3) 10-12 oz. weight (too thin & it falls aprt/too thick & it rides
rigid).
4)Plain weave like canvas with equal warp/weft so it will stretch evenly.
No twills/bias cut/raised patterns/needlepoint
loose accents.
5) For a Skito Sensation type pattern Trail/Dressage you would need approx.
1 yard x 54-60".
6) To see if your pattern falls the right way/you have enough meterial to
accomodate your pattern, simply drape over your existing pad or saddle.
This will show the way the pattern falls.
7) Finally since you have selected your fabric, Skito can not guarantee the
life of the top of the pad.

Hope this helps... feel free to call during my business hours.

Kaaren
