> I have not seen a horse yet on the planet that
>doesnt buck like crazy in the field and wouldnt dream of it in the
>saddle.
-yes all horses bucks in the field and in play
and yes they should stay on dreaming about
bucking rider off...... you buck predators of in
the wild when they are hanging on your neck trying to kill you..........
The original postersaid something to the effect
that if a horse spooks and runs it is
>different than if a horse spooks in the middle of the trail or
>something and thats the one that needs to be eaten??
-I said a trained horse that spooks on the trail and runs of ,is ok.
a horse that spooks on trail - bucking you first and then runs of isn´t ok
because 1. to get away from predator -run as fast as you can!
2. predator catch you -get rid of it then run again.
so I see a react that is buck rider (not much of
a leader then huh!) then run is a horse that are
using the spook to get rid of you not get away from the dangerous thing.
>nuttynuttynutty barbaric and nutty. He said (she said?) that a horse
>should no longer have saddle pain after two months under saddle??
yes how much have you ridden your horse after 2 month of training?
My young horses 1 week brushing go on the
lead longe pick up feet try saddle & briddle
2 week as before plus you start to get up & get
of on the horse in the stall when rewarded
if it goes well you get some one to lead you two
around if it´s a very sensitive horse you are still at stage 1
so whit this continuing I think I´m (the horse
are) pretty good if we have been riding out down the road
for most 10 times after two month so a saddle
pain should not be a big issue because as you all
know young horses are as kid´s concentrate for 20 min if you are lucky
> ok quick to put them in a stew pot?
-It depends on what angel you are in, a young
horse that after two month of that above
described handling is still on week 1 let´s see
he still don´t let you sit on him in the stall under good manors.
then it is definitely not saddle pain or mouth
pain (as you haven´t yet briddle).
yes I think the owner of that horse is pretty in
he´s right of slaughtering the horse.
I will not train it anyway ,owner will not pay me for it ....
I had a mare 5 yo for two years ago that the
owner was willing to pay for training even if it
would take long time . Ok the mare arrived in a
horses trailer put in a stall nothing on her.
it took me two weeks of getting a halter on could
pet her neck ears belly tail every thing except
nose mouth area then lead training longe ,free
longe for a few more weeks if she thought she
could get away she tried, to rip the lead rope
out of your hand if she did see that you was in control she quit.
saddle was never the problem never bucked it or
was afraid of it, bridle the same she was real smart
learned very fast, first times I went on her she
was little bit upset about it so after few week
she did no reaction we went out in paddock went
on everything well walk turn stops. she came in June in oktober
I felt that we was ready to go out from the
paddock to a bigger area I think we got like 30
meters from paddock when she started a sat about
14 jumps then I was finished and the mare went on without me
very strong bucks but the saddle didn´t went of
but she, all she wanted was freedom no humans at all.
ok so a bring her in to the paddock and
locked the gated, goes on everything ok?!
rides her inside the paddock for a few days more try again out the same story.
call the owner and he is willing to send her to
another place that I recommend ,she is there for
1 monht and they agree on never ride her outside the arena.
Ok mare goes home ,owner want to try her, rides
her at home in the paddock everything´s fine
he open the gate and goes out gets almost15
meters when she bucks him of he does a big
mistake by holding on the mare by the reins. She
attacks him with front legs and the turn around
and kick him in the neck/head twice with back legs!
The owner did die or got serious injured , a head
ace for a few days pretty cheap I think
but what would you done ? 1 slaughter ,2.train
more if you had the money to pay 3. put her into
breeding 4.put her down at home
guess what? I would have put her down.
the owner put her into
breeding.................bad gene pole ,jepp. and
amazingly she gave birth to a pinto foal just to
make everything pefect! is the owner a horse breeder nope don´t think so.
but sadly we have those kind of breeder´s in all breeds in every contry.......
