I bought a nice Arab gelding to use for an endurance horse several years
back. The owner allowed me to haul him to the area where I usually ride -
alone -
she stayed behind.

He probably never had a better day. They must have had him really tired. I
worked him in the riding ring then took him out and did every scarey thing I
could think of. He went over a large bridge with running water, through the
same water, over a skinny bridge, over a huge snake (that part was an
accident). He was terrific and I bought him, pending a pre-purchase exam,
which he
passed with flying colors.

This horse is the biggest spooker I've ever seen. After about 6 months he
fiunally unseated me, leaving me with two compression fractures in my spine.
My
15 year old grandson bought him and competes very successfully on him, He
really is a good endurance horse, but he's still prince of the big spook. Gabe
thinks it's kind of fun.
