>>>> Svertla is the one you rescued right? How is she doing these days? Do you ride her?
Yes, that's Svertla. We haven't put her under saddle yet, but that's on the agenda, hopefully in the spring. She's doing well, in good weight, and feeling her "oats" - she's made a run at becoming the lead mare, but so far, Maja and Bjola are holding their own. :) It absolutely amazes me, the memories these horses have. Sina was due any day (with Landi) when we brought Svertla home, so I didn't let them get too close - good thing, since we didn't even know about the rabies, and then Landi had to have the plasma transfusion because he didn't get enough colostrums... What a catastrophe that all might have been. Anyway, they've been in different pastures until just after Christmas when we weaned the babies. When we put Sina and Maja back with the other mares, it was amazing. Svertla and Sina instantly became best buddies, as did Maja and Bjola. They knew each other (in KY and BC respectively) as fillies, and apparently they remembered each other - it looked like they had just hooked up with their old college roommates or something. It had been five years since Sina and Svertla had been together, and about the same for Maja and Bjola. I did send some pics of us playing the Parelli games in the pasture with Svertla a few weeks ago, didn't I? Karen Thomas [EMAIL PROTECTED]
