Have you tried the PNHClicker list to see what is said about combining the two methods?
I've borrowed the new Liberty and Horse Behavior DVDs from a neighbor. I've only seen the first two DVDs but Linda says "we changed L1 and L2 because we realized we had turned everyone into very goal-oriented people. No problem having a goal but when you sacrifice principles, that becomes a problem and they didn't know they were sacrificing principles but people started making horses do things with the 7 Games, using good techniques and the psychology going out the window. So, the goal has got to be your horse's safety and confidence, then we will play with you." It seems to me that combining clicker with PNH would be a great way to protect your horse's "safety and confidence" and my horses seem to enjoy it so much. They definitely participate at liberty, have that happy, ears forward look. In fact, they pester me to keep on playing! I seem to remember an article in the Savvy Times where Linda visited SeaWorld and participated in the dolphin training (with clickers). I'll try to find the article and post what was written. Trish
