I know the basic color stuff pretty well, but I admit, I've never bothered to learn all the pinto details, so I'm sure you could find lots to correct me on that topic. I primarily am interested in color as it has been coincidentally tied to some specific problems - lethal white and the ASD-vision-thing in silver dapples of some breeds. Skjoni is a gelding, so I've never thought about his pinto pattern - I assume he's tobiano. And since I bred Flekka to a solid color stallion, I didn't worry about lethal white. (I guess she's tobiano too...?) I don't like to breed the risky colors, even if the defects haven't been seen (or admitted?) in our breed.
