Some of the so-called "color experts" told me that Ima is smokey black, and there's simply no way that she is. Her mom, Bjola is definitely a dark chestnut/flaxen, not a palomino. Her father is a dark silver dapple, and I don't think there's any way he carries the cream gene either. Did you know that one "expert" wrote on the color list that she didn't think my Isak is silver dapple because she couldn't see that his eyelashes were white. I've never posted a picture of him to any list except this one, so that was pretty funny to me. If Isak isn't silver dapple, I don't know who is! Gee, I wasn't even claiming bragging rights to his fancy-schmantzy color - I just adore him because he's smart, brave, friendly, stocky and appears to have great gaits. The blue eye, the silver dapple and the pinto markings are simply his color traits, nothing more... And of course, there are some other ongoing color sagas... :)
