I'm not Lorraine, but I think the medium to darker palominos we see in QH's and TWH's are pretty rare in Icelandic's. Sina is so light that she looks like a dirty gray/white in the winter. When she sheds in the spring, she is still a very light peachy-cream color, only slightly darker, and it's only then that you can see her star, strip and snip. I think her shade of palomino is pretty common in the breed - it looks like she, Charm, Andi and Scooter are all very similar in color. She's a little lighter than my old QH was, and he was considered a light palomino in QH terms. Ironically, no relation to the color, they are my two soulmate horses, and they have (had) the same facial markings. He died about 6 months after I got her. Karen Thomas [EMAIL PROTECTED]
