gosh I dont know how anybody can sell horses without going insane. I
went with my friend today to look at a horse for sale for the second
time. SHe really wanted him based on personality, calmness, looks.
We took another friend brave enough to ride him. The seller admitted
he had not been ridden in 6 months. Our friend puts him in the
roundpen. He goes around and when she says trot he trots, whoa he
whoas, walk he walks. We were all just amazed and impressed. She
gets on him, he is a 9 year old leopard app, on the ground sorta calm
and acts old deadbroke, under saddle he comes alive, looks five years
old, spirited, beautiful carriage, does everything he is asked. The
lady gets off and tells my friend she thinks he is ok for her to try
and ride him. She gets on him rides him around about a half hour.
Says she feels brave enough to ride him out of the rp. We are all
amazed, open the gate, i had misgivings but hey, it went well. He is
only 900 bucks.

guess what?? At the end she says, get this, "He is not as well broke
as I would like and he sometimes acted like he didnt understand my
commands... so I think I will pass." We were all sorta stunned
silent. On one hand I think well, if it didnt click it didnt click
but then we get in the car and my husband says "she aint really
looking to buy, she's window shopping. Either that, or she's stupider
than she looks." sheesh. I am just baffled. Not to mention spending
all afternoon in the freezing cold wind watching her window shop when
I could have been home riding my own horse! how aggravating. I wont
go horse shopping with her again.!
