Somewhere I read that Icelanders are, on average, the tallest nationality in the world, with men averaging 6' tall, compared to more like 5'10" in the USA. However, I'm not so much accustomed to looking at "average" sized American men on Icelandic's as I am Cary - who's 6'2", and Anneliese's husband Olaf, who I believe is also 6'2". When I compare how Cary's legs fall on 13.3 3/4H Skjoni (ALMOST 14H, but not quite), I know that the horses in Iceland aren't any taller than what I've seen in the USA. Even if Cary's hip would allow him to ride with really long stirrups, his legs aren't THAT far below Skjoni's barrel. Karen Thomas [EMAIL PROTECTED]
