It could be that Gat is foxtrotting, or doing some sort of slightly broken trot - there can be a head nod with foxtrot too. I wouldn't necessarily point that out to her instructor though, because the instructor might want to "fix" it, and most "three-gaited people" probably won't notice that it's not a trot.
