There is NO wqay I would pander to the backyard breeders who are selling
crossbred muts for $300. I can't believe anyone is buying.

However, one of my "Icelandics" is actually 1/4 Peruvian Paso. Niels West
was experimenting with something like an Aegidienberger

At first I told his daughter I would not be interested in an unregistered
horse, but we are not breeders. I was looking for a gaited therapy horse
prospect. Tosca seemes to fill the bill, and I thought she deserved a home,
not
having been responsible for her own entry into the world.

The crossbred Icelandics in the herd were difficult to place, and at least
one was eventually given away.

Oddly, I much prefer the registered Icelandic of the two mares. I don't know
if this is just a coincidence or if there was something lost to Tosca with
the infusion of that other breed.
