>>> Yes. I don't care for any type of alcohol drinking with and around horses, and particularly not with children involved,
Yes, I agree, that's totally unacceptable to have alcohol around kids. And if it's traditional and acceptable in Iceland, that's no excuse for it being tolerated here. In this area, a common class for the fun shows is "water glass class". The same class can easily be carried out with water, Sprite, or something non-alcoholic if there are going to be children involved. >>> but looking past that, at the horses, do you see anything? any re-occurring theme? Really look at the horses. Several things. First, I noticed several horses with cruppers - hopefully, many of those horses have found better fitting saddles since that video was made in 2000. Second, I noticed that there is one spot on the track where several horses shied. I wondered if there was a speaker right there. I also noticed that a lot of the riders were sitting in a slumped chair seat. I got the strong feeling that a lot of the riders weren't comfortable riding with the reins in one hand...and maybe that the horses couldn't stay in gait without a lot of contact.
