It shows how out of touch with typical horse buyers many Icelander breeders
are.  How many people follow the Parelli program to some degree?  About 20
gazillion?   Then there are Lyons, Anderson, Rashid, Branaman, the Dorrence
books and Leslie Desmond?   All these people have HUGE followings in the USA
(and across the world) where people - even MEN - are searching for ways to
calm their hot, hyper, spooky horses.  And then, here is the Icelandic
breed, which certainly has the largest percentage of sane, calm, intelligent
horses I've personally encountered...and a macho-based tradition insists on
training them "hot" for the ring.  It's just goofy.  We have (for the most
part, at least innately) what everyone else wants....
