Probably horse hair reins. The one's I have you would NEVER consider using without gloves! Horse hair reins are supposed to be made from mane hair but often tail hair is used which makes them more prickly! I'm guessing the ones I have are low quality tail hair, but they're still pretty hanging on the wall! LOL > That's interesting--I might have to look into them > again. Do you have a mohair girth?
