Karen always has great things to say. Now after reading her replies,
I'm pretty pissed at Alex's trainer too!! Maybe you should look for a
different one who will help build her confidence.

I took jumping lessons for a year a couple years ago b/c I wasn't a
very confident jumper. Had a superb instructor, great school horses
(one I would have bought and taken home b/c i fell so in love with
him!!) and I had a wonderful time. I quit b/c of time constraints, but
I learned so much from this lady.  She was very gentle and
mild-tempered, could see every thing I did wrong, even if it was on
the other side of the horse from where she was sitting, but she never
made me feel stupid. It did build my confidence, and when the Shadow
is the right age, I will teach him to jump.
