Very interesting! I'd love to see some video of action of the bit inside the mouth, ie, when someone pulls on the reins, w/ different bits. The Bits and Bridles book I recommended to Nancy has some still photos of a snaffle in a horse's mouth at rest, and then when pressure is applied to the reins. It shows how a snaffle bit can "nutcrack" and pinch the inside of the mouth. Robyn
