Hi > I've not heard of using homeopathics preventively. > Traditionally, they are used once symptoms appear.
Actually traditional homeopathy does not base the treatment on acute symptoms but rather takes a very extensive history of everything about the person. Beside illnesses and the obvious also things like do you prefer sweets or savory foods - do you wake up at special times in the night; etc etc. Getting a constitutional remedy is generally more effective in dealing with issues than just dealing with symptons. >Does anyone have an opinion on humans going to a >homeopathic doctor?? Lorraine I have had very good success with things that western medicine could not help at all, and told me there was nothing they could do - in one case I took a single dose of a remedy and within 1 1/2 hours the severe symptoms that I had had for three weeks (extreme swelling in one foot and ankle) started to go down and completely went away within 2 days. It is like anything - it depends on the practitioner and the problem. Getting the right remedy generally works. In Europe it is not so uncommon for MD's to also be trained in homeopathy and use whatever is appropriate. Robyn Icelandic Horse Farm Robyn Hood & Phil Pretty Vernon BC Canada www.icefarm.com
