they kinda act like chickens, but where chickens roost or go to sleep at dark, peacocks sorta roam around all night. They will kill snakes tho! they are very territorial and if something new comes onto the property will try to fight it. They are such beautiful color, its very hard to capture on film. Because a camera lense cannot process color the way the human eye does. There is no way to adequately describe the color because it floresces and is sorta like each feather is a prism of color. The most expensive java green ones in a picture just look drab but pretty dark green. In person each tiny tiny feather is such a gorgeous emerald green and each feather lined with olive then around the neck almost chartreuse. The plainest cheapest ones are my India Blue you see in the pics, and they are 40 bucks each for a six month old. 12 bucks for a chick just out of the nest. And 150 each for a breeding pair. Their blue just hurts your eyes it is so beautiful. but the one I want most is silver pied. They are snow white and then on the body are snow white splotched with color so brilliant it hurts your eyes. Janice janice-- yipie tie yie yo
