I wonder if that is like petechia in people. "A small hemorrhagic spot". Don't we have any vets on this list?
When we were in the process of adopting our daughter Brenda in Mexico, she contracted TB and was hospitalized down there. I went down to stay with her - it was pretty awful. She had DIC (I think that's desceminated intravascular coagulation - or something like that). She was bleeding from her skin and membranes. Amazingly she survived. She was 7 years old then, weighing a whopping 27 lbs, now almost 22 and weighs a plump 105. TB long gone. Nancy
