I decided since its the anniversary of stali well, you know, his passing, to write up a REAL test to give potential buyers.
1. Do you know that horses actually need food to eat? (the wealthy woman who owned Stali and Svertla didnt, she said someone told her if you fed them they would get fat) 2. Do you know horses need fresh air and exercise daily? The man who owned Fox thought nothing wrong about keeping him in a 10x10 stall with no turnout whatsoever for SIX YEARS. 3. Do you know even barefoot horses need their feet done every 6-8 weeks by a farrier? The man who owned GB and Fox had never had their feet done by a farrier, not ever. GB is elderly you know. think about it. Fox's were ten inches long when i got him. Like clown shoes. 4. Do you know horses are social animals and need companionship of some kind? I rescued a paso fino that was 8 years old and had been born in a round pen and once weaned, kept there alone his entire life. 5. Do you know horses are not toys or big dogs to hurt for fun? I asked if I could have our mini donkey curly ray because i couldnt stand the way the owner allowed 200 pound teenagers to jump on him and laugh and have a blast while he ran around terrified bucking and kicking. 6. Do you know horses require vaccinations? My Stali would not have died if he had had a 14 dollar vaccination 7. Do you know horses require worming? when i got jaspar and wormed him he colicked and the next morning pooped out a huge mound composed of red wiggly little worms and sand. 8. Do you know even well trained obedient world class expensive well bred horses can kill you graveyard dead even if you are a great rider? Remind them of Christopher Reeves 9. Do you know horses are very expensive and you are lucky if all you ever have to pay is money? 10. Did you know if a herd gets too big for its area and you dont thin it it begins to thin itself thru death and disease and accidents and injury? just some things to think about before you write that bill of sale out or write that check..
