*grin* i'm pretty much with you on "i get what he gives me" for gaits --
the only tools in my personal toolbox are: tilt my pelvis forward or back, 
turn or circle, and breathe.

i have only stjarni, so i am very glad he is an awesome trail horse, a
terrific school horse, and overall my very best friend.  we were in our
first parade on memorial day, and nothing fazed him.  plus his gaits
were comfy to ride for the four hours to, during, and home again....

i'm glad you and all your horses have worked out so well for each other.
they say there's someone for everyone, but i think there's something
about you that makes you good for a LOT of different horses.  kind of
like why i love teaching with stjarni, he is good for a lot of different
riders...
