thanks for sharing this about the rice bran Ann! You would think giving the banamine with it would have held off any colic! I do the belly lifts too, and almost every time when I do it I will get a huge gut gurgle... so it definitely is connected to the gut... my fix does not officially storm colic, but any time a big front is moving thru he gets to feeling bad. he will lie down and sorta blink and squint and hang his head like "I dont feel good" and If its hot I take him and give him a cool rinse and some belly lifts and he always feels better. When it was cold I would put a horse cooler in the clothes dryer til warm and then place over him with some belly lifts... I am always worried when a big storm is coming and I am at work. but so far he doesnt go full blown thrashing colic thank goodness! Janice -- yipie tie yie yo
