>>>> Yet I know someone into Icelandics who warned me that Liz Graves
"encourages piggy-pace." So I guess it is really "to each his
own"--whatever a speicific person can relate best to.

I wouldn't write off that tired old gossip as even a "to each his own." I
remember when all that garbage broke out on the lists. It was the week (of
all weeks!) that I decided to sign onto these lists. Not one person who
said that could even define piggy pace, nor did they know the difference
between a foxtrot and pace. It was mind-blowing how the tirade turned on
Liz, when the crazy stuff wasn't even close to being true. I had already
bought Liz's videos, and I'd seen NOTHING on them that even resembled what
the gossipmongers were saying. And, the craziest thing was that many of the
people doing the quoting were saying things like that, without having seen
the videos. Even crazier, they were saying things like she couldn't
POSSIBLY understand Icelandic gaits because she wasn't from Iceland! It was
nuts! Liz most certainly does NOT promote "piggy pace" - but I'm assuming
that "piggy pace" is something in the vaguely pace-to-stepping-pace range.
One of the USIHC officers thought saddle rack was the same thing as
foxtrot - all variations of "piggy pace." Sheesh...

I can understand that not every clinician appeals to every "consumer."
That's just human nature - we don't all want to marry the same guy, thank
goodness. To me, that's a "to each his own" scenario. But it's another
deal altogether when an uninformed group turns on a clinician and makes up
stuff about them, total lies. I'll never forget some of the so-called
powerful people within this breed who totally made up stuff and credited it
to Liz. If someone doesn't like her, that's just fine...as you say, to each
his own...but I don't have any patience when people make up stuff.
