Well, I live in Oregon on a farm at the end of a dirt road and 45 minites from town and believe me - sometimes the city beckons.
We have our horses out the back door, paragliders drifting into our hay field, deer grazing and turkey's gobbling every morning and evening. It's lovely. What we can't do here is: Buy a postage stamp except for two hours a day. The closest is 20 miles away. Step around the corner for a nice meal Run out for something we forgot When there's a real medical emergency, it means a ride in a helicopter. When someone can't be treated in the nearest medical center, 25 miles away and quite good, they are flown to Portland, Or. I made that flight with our son once - yee haw! Even our horse feed comes from town. We paid $550 for gasoline and diesel last month but our property taxes are low and the farm is paid for. There are trade-offs in everything. Nancy
