One year at Christmas., I got all the kids and adults at the barn a short length of sleigh bells to put on their saddles during hunting season. The land where we rode was posted but there were always hunting trespassers during season. The kids would go out in big groups and loved the sound of the bells - the horses seemed to like them, too. They would get more energetic but not unruly - more like they thought this was a fun and special occasion. I ran into one of the girls , an adult now, the other day and she said that was one of her favorite memories - riding with those bells in a big group - still brings a smile to her face. >-- Laree
