where are swans native?

Hi Karen:

Those looked like mute swans They breed in the British Isles, north central
Europe and north central Asia. They winter in parts of Africa, India and
Asia. There are many that were brought into North America, and are now
permanent residents in many areas. We has them at Busch Gardens and Marine
World. As Janice mentioned they are extremely territorial. When nesting,
ours attacked very large tour boats! They have big knobs on the leading
edge of their wings and if they hit you right, can break an arm! We drew
straws to see who had to go feed them!
