---------------Couldn't agree with this more. The gelding I'm re- training (the one with the lump on his back caused by ill-saddle fit) has really come around with clicker training. He still has pain memory issues while being mounted, but using the clicker to target and lower his head before, while and just after being mounted has helped tremendously. When he starts getting fidgety, we ask him to target, to lower his head and stand calmly and c/t when he stands for a few seconds. We then ask him to extend the time before the next c/t. It would take us a lot longer to have gotten where we are without c/t. Dawn Bruin-Slot
