Ok, Jackie, you just won my heart!  :)  I know I get a sense of dread when
approached by someone new to the breed, for fear the new person is a mere
collector of the exotic - and believe me, we have our share of that kind in
this breed.  (Thankfully, not many on this list that I'm aware of...at least
not active on the list.)

These really are great horses.  If you approach them with practical
expectations, no delusions of them being an exotic species dropped here from
another planet, I think you can be very happy with this breed.  I certainly
am!  They can certainly stand up against any breed (as a whole of
course...there are ALWAYS exceptions!) in many, many ways.

Welcome to the list.  I hope you'll stick around and ask lots of questions.
