>>> Thanks Karen. Any bit of info is helpful. It is fun to learn about a new breed. I am not a horse snob. I love them all.
Ok, Jackie, you just won my heart! :) I know I get a sense of dread when approached by someone new to the breed, for fear the new person is a mere collector of the exotic - and believe me, we have our share of that kind in this breed. (Thankfully, not many on this list that I'm aware of...at least not active on the list.) These really are great horses. If you approach them with practical expectations, no delusions of them being an exotic species dropped here from another planet, I think you can be very happy with this breed. I certainly am! They can certainly stand up against any breed (as a whole of course...there are ALWAYS exceptions!) in many, many ways. Welcome to the list. I hope you'll stick around and ask lots of questions. :) Karen Karen Thomas Wingate, NC No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
