I don't have any first-hand experience with Peruvians, but I can tell you
that much of the high-headedness you see in Icelandic's is man-made, coming
from horses being encouraged to be fast at a very young age.  Sure, some
horses are conformed such that they naturally hold their heads up when they
gait, but the "show-look" is largely manufactured.  Sure, some horses have
more energy than others, but left to their own choosing, I think the
majority of horses in this breed are innately more of the "stop and smell
the roses" kind of horses than speed demons.
