I know I was negative and I should apologize. And I do. but also, I
think honestly, we have so many wonderful domestic breeders and
canadian breeders of icelandic horses that we should encourage people
whenever possible to buy from them. Too often people buy horses with
exhorbitant prices from iceland that are misrepresented, ill bred with
forged and dishonest paperwork, horses with terrible behavior and
health problems sold as sound of health and mind by people who think
its amusing to sell to stupid foreigners. I say its time to cut the
apron strings with iceland. They are not a good source of icelandic
horses. There are too many wonderful domestic and canadian born and
bred horses in need of good homes. And I think we should be honest
about this from now on.

To the person wanting to buy, please don't be offended and discouraged
by my negativity. I am just hoping and praying you find a good horse
from a reputable ethical person, and i think the odds of you doing
that are greatly improved if you purchase a horse born and bred in the
US or Canada. which isnt to say there arent some messed up ones here
also, just make sure you seek a horse with open eyes and mind.
