Yes, it could be Falki and I'd say there's a good chance it is! That's funny - I'd forgotten that you rode him while he was "on vacation" in Southern California. It didn't even cross my mind that it might be another of my horses. Duh! Some of you remember that Judy did some wonderful detective work back in April 2004, when the hauler bringing Skjoni and Falki to NC from British Columbia went AWOL, and essentially kidnapped the two boys. We really had no idea where she and they were, but I thought she might have taken them home, and she lived near San Diego. In desperation, I e-mailed Judy and asked if she lived in the general area, and if she'd ever heard of the hauler. Anyway, after Judy tracked them down, Linda (shown riding Falki) agreed to keep the two boys until I could arrange another hauler. Cary and I were ready to hop in the truck and drive to CA to get them ourselves, but I had three pregnant mares about to deliver and couldn't leave for a 10 day road trip. I don't know what I would have done without Judy and Linda. Finding a hauler for the trip back to NC took a while, so I think the boys were with them about 3-4 weeks. They arrived home on May 1, 2004...the morning after Miska was born, two days after Refur was born. Ima was born later that night. What a week! Five past due "babies" arrived in three days! I think I'm still sleep deprived. I don't know what I would have done without Judy Ryder Pet Detective! The local sheriff's deputy was shocked that she found and rescued them so quickly. They had been at loss for what to do. So, I guess I don't have to ask when that one was taken - that would have been April 2004. :) Karen Thomas, NC
