This is true, yet there is the other end of the spectrum of Icelandics that are nervous, unable to retain their learning, and scared of people. We can't forget these horses. They are part of the gene pool. Someone bred them, and now someone else has to take care of them. I love my Icelandics as I think they are smart, calm, easy to get along with... but there are others out there that are the opposite. If we do not acknowledge these horses, we'll be sending the message that all Icelandics are smart, calm, easy, and someone will buy one of the ones who isn't, and get hurt.
