Omigosh! Are you worried about the bear coming back and bothering the horses? Once, when our kids were very small, our daughter was two years old, and our son was newborn, we were doing a weekend thing at a big fancy resort up in the mountains. I was walking our daughter between two of the buildings late one night, and saw a bear about ten feet from us, hanging on the side of a tree, about four feet off the ground. Being a good mom and always wanting to teach, I picked up our daughter, and said, "oh, look at the bear!" and then immediately, thought, "what the heck am I doing, we gotta get out of here!"
