Hello Laree,
I had never fed timothy hay until now. I have always fed fescue and/
or orchard grass of a mix of the two. When hay became so hard to get here in
NC I discussed this with my equine surgeon at Bonnie Brae and he recommended
that I get timothy hay. It is generally a higher energy and protein than
fescue if it is early cut. He likes it for all his patients that have a
tendency to colic or have had colic surgery. So far my horses love it. I
will have
a little left if you would like to try it. I purchased a truck load and
plan to sell what did not fit in my hay loft.

                                                     Renee
