different horses show things different ways. jaspar will get balky
and walk sideways no matter how mad I would get and try to forcibly
steer him he would still walk left when he had his back fistula
coming, would just stop and stand and lick and chew, later i felt so
bad cause i would make him continue. he has a chronic fistula now
cause i forced him. (my huge shame)

Tivar oh man. He will swing around and bite at the air near my toe
and act like a huge brat. I get down, readjust things, get back on,
but usually i know before I even try and swing a leg over he is not
gonna allow any riding til I get straight whatever it is that bugs
him. He simply will not tolerate any pain/aggravation. and when
things are right its like he is a different horse entirely, sweet,
dead calm, acts like he will stand all day while I mount and fiddle
around, then he moves out cheerfully when i cue.

If something is wrong, like the saddle is pinching, some pain thing
somewhere, he will put his ears back a little and when I cue to go
will actually walk backwards wringing his tail and head tossing. He
used to buck I hear, and I bet he would if I just kept trying to make
him go instead of tried to investigate things.

Sometimes when I dismount i think it pinches or something cause he
will put his ears back and dance a little as soon as I land on the
ground and swing away. Whereas most times he will just stand relaxed.

With Tivar you dont have to guess, he's pretty straight forward about
telling me what he needs. With jaspar, he is stoic and withdrawn, and
like I said, almost ruined cause I didn't know the subtle signs. boy,
i listen now.
