after i rescued Stali and he died, my Stonewall became anemic from "wormload". he actually went down on the trail twice, just laid down and couldnt go on, i just KNEW he was dying, scared me to death.. I am not sure it came from stali, because Karen didnt have a problem and none of my other horses did but anyway... Stonewall underwent "treatment" for anemia which was: being wormed every two weeks for a couple of months, lixatonic for iron, and then my vet said he wanted me to put him on gro strong because he said that in his practice he had noted that horses and goats and cows,---everything-- seemed to take on a real "bloom" on it, he suggested I try it. I had been feeding seminole grass eater supplement whatever they call it. Anyway. So I got the loose kind of gro strong. It comes in blocks but I have never felt a block is good for me, it always gets rained on or trampled or so nasty, anyway. I did notice a bloom in all my horses. I give them about twice a week, a couple of handfuls in their feed. They eat what they need and if any is left over they can come back or another horse that needs it can mosey and eat it all. I have noticed Nasi in particular is a hog for it. I think because at 3 he is still growing, also him and Tivar seem to sweat more. anyway. I am real please with it! Janice-- yipie tie yie yo
