>>>>Vicka's right in that the Tapaderos are good if you're riding in heavy
brush (or cacti). They are quite a bit heavier and only come in brown (but
I suppose you could dye them).

I prefer the lighter weight of the cages, so I took an old pair of cozy-toes
(I think that's what they are called...?) and put them over a plain, uncaged
set of EZ-rides. Now, granted, I don't have OSHA or SEI test labs to
approve them, and I don't plan to volunteer to get dragged to see if they
work as well, but it might be possible to compromise - buy a caged pair and
put cozy-toes over them...? The Cozy-Toes have virtually no weight at all.

Karen Thomas, NC - do I ever do anything the obvious way...?

"The greatest enemy of the truth very often is not the lie- deliberate,
contrived and dishonest -- but the myth -- persistent, persuasive and
unrealistic."

"All truth passes through three stages.
First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident." ~ Arthur Schopenhauer
