I dont know how to describe it well... but for me, the thing that
makes EZ rides a MUST HAVE for me is that with a normal stirrup you
put your foot and there is only one position allowed.  With EZ rides
there is a "platform" so to speak.  I can toe in, toe out, one toe in
one toe out, all that, and feel secure and it doesnt create knee pain
liek other stirrups.  But when I rode in my husbands EZ rides with
tapaderos it was at a field trial and there you ride totally off
trazil.  I was getting snagged by spanish bayonet, palmetto etc and
there was always the sensation that my foot placement was more fixed
and limited, like with traditional stirrups.  It just seems to
decrease for me the sensation that I have a lot of room to play around
on the "platform" of the EZ rides.
