I know people that put apple cider vinegar in the horse troughs and say it really works. I am not sure whether it discourages the mosquitos etc from breeding and growing in the water or it does something to the horses.
We are pretty lucky here, the short fly season is beginning and should stop after the first freeze which could come anytime from now to Nov sometime. Ann
