now I finally got the gumption to go into my bosses office and shut the door and quietly say "I will be bringing the donkey to your house friday morning, I can't keep it anymore for you, its hurting everything at my house..." and she said the hold up had been they had to wait until yesterday to be able to afford an auger attachment for their tractor! After I have had to repair and re-put up fences over and over from the dang donkeys tearing everything to heck and back, busting and knocking water troughs off the pedestals, feeding it, haying it, not one offer of a penny for board, and I havent had an auger EVER and have had to pound all my fence posts by HAND thank you very much, then she comes later and says "ok, i found a solution. we dont have the fence up yet, (her husband was too exhausted to finish mind you, exhausted from sitting on a tractor wearing his diamond rolex augering mind you) so just bring the donkey fri and we will put her in the chain link chicken pen. She was stalled when we got her, so she sould be ok, only thing is she will be standing in deep mud after this rain, thats why the chickens arent in it".
somebody take a gun and kill me if i ever say I am going to keep an animal for someone else again.... please i beg you. I told her three weeks ago the donkey wasnt working out, to get the fence up. no reply. I told her two weeks ago I had to bring the donkey back, Jaspar was too thin and needed his own paddock. no reply. she came up with the chicken house solution after she told me this morning "oh well I guess we will have to have someone take it to auction for us because ___(husband) is so exhausted from augering and still no fence" and I just looked at her and said "I hate that but I don't know what to tell you, the donkey's gotta go". So then the chicken house solution after the auction button push. now I am a donkey abuser through secondhand action! Now I have to worry about the donkey standing in deep mud! all alone! but if i keep it longer, my animals suffer....
