When the rider is outside of their comfort zone it typically has negative impact on the horse. Of course we want the horse to be within it's comfort zone too or it's likely to have a negative impact on the rider! :o) Just because that wasn't the subject I was addressing doesn't mean the horse's comfort zone is not an important issue to me.
