and sometimes like me, as a five year old, so fearless and surprised.
I imagine as a frightened adult I would have been killed.  The
incident was where a man came to our house at dusk to show us his new
horse.  he said if a child rode it, it would dance.  They put me on it
and it immediately bowed up and started doing what I think now would
be called a piaffe.  then something startled him and no one had ahold
of him (or me) and he just bolted.  i thought he was the coolest thing
I'd ever witnessed haha
